Tim Safley MBA RRT
I have over three decades of experience in the community care industry, with a focus on DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies) and pharmacies, particularly in helping them meet their accreditation requirements.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of holding key leadership roles, including serving as Regional Vice President for a national home care company for more than twelve years. I also spent over 18 years with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) as the HME/Pharmacy/Sleep Program Director, where I oversaw the development and implementation of accreditation programs. In addition, I served as the acting director of Duke’s Home Health and Hospice program. In 2019, I was honored to receive the Distinguished Service Award, presented by the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP).​
My expertise includes guiding organizations through successful accreditation processes, launching new product lines, resolving accounts receivable issues, and preparing companies for federal, state, and accreditation site visits. I led ACHC’s pharmacy program for over five years, where I spearheaded the development of accreditation programs for infusion and specialty pharmacies. I also created accreditation programs for specialized markets, including distinctions for rare diseases, orphan drugs, and oncology.
I’ve worked closely with payers to address patient monitoring and cost containment solutions, and I’m actively involved in industry leadership, serving on boards like the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board and the North Carolina Medical Equipment Association. My deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer requirements allows me to assist home care providers in meeting regulatory standards and improving their participation in payer networks.
